Exceptional Quality

The exceptional quality of UltraChlor   Sodium Hypochlorite is unmatched in the industry. UltraChlor   is produced from the purest ingredients and has virtually no metal contaminant's or suspended solids. In most cases, Iron, nickel, copper, and other heavy metal ions that catalyze bleach decomposition are below detectable levels. The continuous process equipment provides low manufacturing temperature without localized overheating. Continuous process sodium hypochlorite also has quality in terms of concentration, ratio, pH, and excess alkalinity.

Advantages of UltraChlor

Below are advantages and benefits of using 12.5% Trade UltraChlor   manufactured by Odyssey Manufacturing

  • Levels of iron, copper, cobalt, nickel, zinc, and other heavy metal contaminants are close to zero

  • Settling of suspended solids is eliminated in storage tanks, pumps, piping, and instruments. Automatic feeders will not clog

  • Shelf life is greatly improved. Many customers will realize savings because fewer gallons are required. Automatic feeder settings rarely need adjustment

  • Oxygen generation is vertically eliminated along with associated problems that oxygen can cause by creating "vapor lock" in pumps and with instrumentation errors

  • Sodium chlorate levels and bromate levels are far below EPA drinking water standards

  • Existing insoluble buildup in storage tanks and feeder systems may be redissolved

  • NSF and EPA Approved (Ultrachlor   Sodium Hypochlorite is certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for use in drinking water and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for sale and use as a disinfectant)

  • NSF approved Low Bromate Supplier

Optimum Concentration

UltraChlor   is manufactured according to American Water Works Association B300-10 Standard for Hypochlorite at 12.5 trade percent available chlorine. There are other hypochlorite concentrations listed in the B-300 standard, but 12.5 percent delivers the best economy and performance for the Florida market. Sodium hypochlorite degrades with age. Certain formula variables and conditions during storage and manufacturing determine the stability of a hypochlorite product. The Odyssey process maximizes shelf life for all of the variables under our control. As illustrated in Table 1, Florida storage temperatures are simply not compatible with the higher B-300 hypochlorite concentrations. The issue is not simply one of lost product and higher usage, of equal concern are the sodium chlorate and oxygen produced in the decomposition reaction. 12.5% UltraChlor   is an optimum concentration in that its degradation rate is low enough to allow it to have a thirty-day useful shelf life under a variety of storage conditions while it generates minimal amounts of oxygen and chlorate.
